And her panic rises when she can’t find her estranged husband, Bram. Based on Louise Candlish's popular novel, ITV’s new thriller Our House is set to have audiences on the edge of their seats. It’s a good question, but one the opening episode doesn’t really try to answer. Instead, this four-parter, an adaptation of Louise Candlish’s 2018 novel, is standard ITV thriller territory, perfectly watchable, basically functional, if not particularly fresh. It’s the kind of song that gets stuck in your head, because the first time you hear it, you feel as if you’ve heard it a hundred times before. Fi walks around her empty former home repeating “This is my house”, and, given that I watched every single episode of the surprise BBC gameshow hit of that name, I couldn’t help but start to sing its theme tune.

“It feels like when you go to your childhood home and you haven’t lived there for a long time and there’s a certain familiarity that comes back,” she says. When we were making it, all of us were in similar situation to what the family was in. We didn’t know what it was going to be like, we didn’t know how to do, we didn’t know each other, we were learning to bond … in the mud, in the snow.

Fi Lawson arrives home one day to find a family of strangers moving into her house and her husband, Bram, has disappeared. As the nightmare takes grip, both Bram and Fi try to make sense of the events that led to a devastating crime and how they each are going to survive the chilling truth. She knows she doesn’t want to take Bram back, despite his pleading.

Jessie and the kids eventually learn that beneath Gus' stern facade is a wise man, well versed in the ways of the world, who cares about them very much. "I had a whole spiritual journey for maybe 20 years, I’ve worked in finance on Wall Street, lived in Manhattan for a long time," Gilbert, 56, says. As mentioned, Our House is based on the best-selling novel by Louise Candlish of the same name and given the award-winning bestseller’s popularity, the series is expected to be similarly gripping. The plot centres on Fiona Lawson (Middleton), who arrives back to her home in London to find strangers moving in and her belongings no longer there. Per ITV’s synopsis, at first she thinks her home was sold by accident, but upon discovering her husband Bram has gone missing, she soon realised there’s much more going on. Told in a series of flashbacks, Our House is a story of betrayal and mystery and may just have you questioning your own memories.
Train drivers will stage a fresh wave of strikes and overtime bans in May, causing disruption to the rail network. When they go up, so do the rates being offered on the high street, as we have seen in the last week or two amid uncertainty over whether forecasts for a summer base rate cut are accurate. Mortgage rates have risen in the last few weeks as markets went from pricing in a base rate cut in June to thinking it may be August.

Where is the 'Little House' 50th reunion in 2024?
Our House, featuring an all-star cast including Line of Duty’s Martin Compston, is a big new drama based on the hit book by Louise Candlish. We flash back to 10 years earlier, when Fi and her husband, Bram (Martin Compston), come across the house they will turn into a World of Interiors magazine spread. They are so happy and in love that they tickle each other as they strip wallpaper. The house is huge and incredible, and appears to be in London, which made me spend far more time than I should have wondering how they could have afforded it. They both have generic middle-class jobs, in offices with lumbar support chairs and big glass windows, but, even so, that house must have cost a fortune. Over the years, they have children, paint the walls dark blue, put in parquet flooring and big glass sliding doors – then they stop tickling each other.
“It’s a story where you catch a glimpse of yourself in the characters, and you get the chilling realisation that what happens to Fi could happen to anyone,” she explained. Per Radio Times, Compston previously revealed that he is “absolutely delighted” to be appearing in the forthcoming drama. “The scripts are genuinely thrilling, packed with twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end,” the actor commented. I couldn’t understand the decision to “birdnest” rather than sell the house. Their disdain for the “studio” flat they share, an ex-local authority place with a drippy tap and non-fancy curtains that is far nicer than at least 70% of the flats I lived in in London, is hilarious.

The president made a grim speech about what he believes is at stake this election, saying that another Trump administration would be even more harmful to America than his first term. Jonathan Gilbert, Melissa Gilbert's younger brother, has lived a private life the past 40 years since leaving "Little House." As they settle in with Gus, they realize just how difficult he can be to live with. The majority of the plots each week centers on the conflicts which tend to arise when an extended family must live together in the same house. As man of the house, Gus imposes rules on his three grandkids the same way he had raised John (and also John's brother Ben, who is seen in a two part episode); ultimately, however, he learns ways of conveying lessons to the kids without being gruff.
You have a way of saying things to people that jabs them,” Paige said in the Thursday, April 25, episode. Danielle claimed, “My personality type is a little more in your face,” and denied she was being a bad friend to Gabby. Strikes tend to mean services on lines where members are participating are extremely affected or cancelled entirely, whereas overtime bans often lead to reduced services. Here is a full list of the services affected by strikes and when.
In the novel, Bram writes a letter explaining everything and how he played a part in the fraudulent sale of his marital home. In the series, however, this is revealed to have been done via a voice recording - which obviously plays better on TV. A few small differences can be noted throughout - in the book, the girl who dies in the car crash is 10, but in the series, she's 8. While the series ended ambiguously with Fi's exact fate, it can be assumed she would be charged with Mike's death as it's pretty hard to find her not guilty now. Her husband, Bram, accidentally gave the game away and revealed her to be in a relationship with who she thought was "Toby", before explaining this was actually the same person as "Mike". She took the opportunity to find out exactly what happened, how Toby came into her life, and how he blackmailed Bram into destroying his life.
